B&H's is a small, family owned, hobby kennel, located in Stanwood, Michigan. We have only been in MI. since the fall of 2007. We relocated to MI., from Indiana. We needed a bigger yard, as our family grew. So we went from two acre's, to ten acres.
We raise quality AKC Siberian Huskies, and also Chihuahua's. We have been owned by these two wonderful breed's for almost twelve year's now. However we have only been breeding for about eight year's now. In the eight year's, we have learned a lot, and have gained a lot of knowledge on both breed's.
Here at B&H'S we strive to raise the best quality puppies for companion's, show, and/or working. All of our puppies are sold with limited registration, unless other wise agreed upon. Full registration, and breeding/showing right's are only available per puppy/individual basis. Everyone interested in one of b&h's puppies, must first fill out a puppy application, and all puppies are sold only with a written contract. There will be no exceptions.
We take pride in our dog's and puppies. they are formoste part of our family, before anything else. All of our puppies are raised inside our home, and not outside in some kennel. We believe this ensures they will have the proper socialization and care they need.
It all started with a beautiful light red/white Siberian Husky named Mariah. She wasnt AKC registered, and was never bred. She was spayed, and was our baby girl. However, She was the reason i fell so much in love with the beautiful Siberian Husky. I actually bought her for my boyfriend at the time....many, many year's ago. He loved the breed, and alway's wanted one. I personally at the time was more into the big "guard dogs", like the rott. Once Mariah was home, i was hooked! So of course i started doing lot's of research on the breed, I fostered a few other Siberian Huskies, before i actually decided to start breeding them. We looked for a very long time for the perfect pair. We found Alexis first. She was a beautiful black/white girl, with blue eye's, and had the best temperment ever. She was everything I was looking for and more. Then We found Rowdy. he was a beautiful boy as well. He was mostly white, with a wolf gray saddle back, and blue eye's. I learned a lot from both of them. Alexis showed me how important "husky proofing" was, and how much they love to run. Rowdy Showed me just how beautiful the sound of a Siberian Husky was. Yes he was a talker. Both taught me the beauty of the breed, and how much love they have to offer, and all the special care they needed.
I Thank god every day for introdincing me to this magnificent breed. I dont know how i ever survived without a Siberian Husky as part of my family.
I was actually raised around Chihuahua's my whole life. My grandma had several of them. So I guess the love for Chihuahua's, just run's in my family. I know my life wouldnt be complete without them. They are the best little watch dog's ever, and they are so loyal its almost unbelievable. Thier love is un-conditional, and in my oppinion, you just couldnt find a better lap companion.
I dont actualy think i chose them, i believe it's more like they chose me. My home would definitly be incomplete without a Chihuahua.
Stanwood is actually a small village, located in mecosta county. It is more of an agriculture village, with lot's of farmer's, and amish around. It has a population of under 200, and is just a wonderful place to live. It's very peaceful and quite here. You can definitly see mother nature at it's best.
I can remember the first thing i thought of as I was driving to Michigan, to look at the new place. It seemed like we were a lot closer to the clouds, So my first thought was: We are moving a little closer to heaven. So when I got here, I over looked all the work we had ahead of us, cause i knew this would be the perfect place for our fur babies.
We are surrounding by lot's of beautiful lake's, river's, pond's, waterfall's, and dam's. There is also a lot of great museum's here, as well as a lot of beautiful wildlife. We are close to Michigan's adventure theme park, as well.
